The Department of Health has advised that from 1 March 2020 fees payable for Health Outcomes Data collection, in the form of patient registrations and six-month follow ups, will cease. Health Outcomes Data provided for these programs has been, and will continue to be, utilised in the clinical and cost effectiveness evaluation of these programs. Pharmacies may continue collecting and providing the relevant information, however it is no longer a requirement for the following programs:

  • Dose Administration Aids
  • MedsCheck/Diabetes MedsCheck
  • Staged Supply.

Patient registrations and six-month follow up claims submitted from 1 March 2020 for the above programs will therefore not receive a payment, regardless of when the patient registration or six-month follow up was undertaken by the pharmacy.

Claims submitted on the PPA Portal from 1 March 2020 will be displayed with a payment value of $0 on both the claim history screen and on the associated remittance advices.

The Department of Health thanks you for your participation.
