Changes to accreditation requirements for PPA-administered programs

The Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, as signatories to the Eighth Community Pharmacy Agreement (8CPA), have agreed that, from 1 October 2026, the Quality and Safety Pharmacy Program (QSPP) will replace the Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) as the accreditation program required for participation in select Community Pharmacy Programs.

Further information about how the transition to the QSPP will affect participation in programs administered by the PPA is being finalised.

The PPA will also contact affected Service Providers by email with information about any actions they are required to take.
