We remind Service Providers of the obligation to retain appropriate records for the timeframe detailed in the PPA General Terms and Conditions and relevant Program Rules to substantiate Pharmacy Program service claims for payment.

With the start of a new financial year, we suggest that now is an opportune time to review record keeping policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with the PPA General Terms and Conditions and relevant Program Rules.  Sound record keeping practices are important to ensure all claims can be substantiated in the circumstance that the PPA undertakes a Random Review of claims as part of its ongoing monitoring and compliance activities.  Further information about these activities are outlined in the Monitoring, Compliance and Audit Factsheet on the PPA website.
